Bowman was charged with relocating Vic Firth Manufacturing, the largest drumstick manufacturer in the world, from its existing location adjacent to Sebasticook Lake in Newport to an 80,000sf facility down the street. This scope demanded continuous operation and took the company space from an existing turn-of-the-century mill to a new facility – and we were able to do that without interrupting production. This project required the Bowman team to work hand in hand with the Vic Firth team, outside engineers, and vendors to coordinate the step-by-step relocation of equipment within separate manufacturing divisions within the plant. All without interrupting the production flow through the relocation process. At the end of the project, VF made a run of drumsticks with Bowman’s logo on them as a gift of appreciation for our service’s. We continue to partner with them and perform small projects and provide maintenance from time to time.
